Sydney holds a special place in our hearts. Fresh out of university, Hubby D and I went there in 2001 for our graduation trip. I remember loving the blue skies, the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, and the gorgeous beaches. We were there again in 2006 after we got married. This time we took it easy, soaking in the local culture, discovering quaint shops that lined Oxford Street and went to popular establishments such as Bills and Onde to sample their fare.
We decided to bring the family to Sydney in 2013. We had fond memories of the place and we wanted our boys to experience the beauty of the city including the stunning Blue Mountains. And then of course, not forgetting the blue skies. As Shawn Colvin put it across so aptly in her song, "I never saw blue like that before."
During our 8-day stay, we managed to accomplish quite a fair bit with some help from my brother Matthew, who chipped in to mind the kids. Never were there two more energetic and naughty boys who kept us all so busy with their antics.
