A Bali state of mind

It's all about soul. Whether it's a Billy Joel song that comes to mind or images of a sun-kissed beach, it's getting harder to find places where crass commercialism hasn't set deep in and ruin the local cultures. Thankfully, Bali still possesses a soulfulness that is reflected in its warm and friendly people, its traditional dances, in its never ending rice fields.

Or as Dewa, my driver on our trip, would put it aptly, it's all about "feeling". Hubby D and I took some time out for ourselves and decided to holiday in Bali, a place we've heard plenty about but never been.
