Baking

Had a craving for chocolate over the weekend and roped in Kieran to bake chocolate and banana bread. Happy to report that the second attempt at doing this was definitely much better than the first. The bread was not burnt (rectified the problem by placing it on a lower rack) and tasted delicious. Kieran had fun mashing the bananas and stealing bits of chocolate to eat in the process. Respect for those who bake well. It is truly not easy to get it right. Hubby D now thinks we can bake gingerbread men for Christmas. Hmmm...

Since we are on the topic of baking, let me say I really like the cakes from Flor Patisserie. I ordered the mixed berries cake for my brother's birthday and it was creamy yet fluffy. I also plan to try the absolutely decadent chocolate cake from Truffs soon.
