All I wanna do is have some fun, until the sun comes down over Santa Monica Boulevard," sang Sheryl Crow on her debut album. We didn't have the CD playing in the car but we finally understood why Santa Monica in LA was such a draw for the folks here. With beautiful and accessible beaches, good weather and a laid-back attitude, it is no wonder that people flock here for a good time.
We spent the morning at the Getty Center in LA, which houses a museum as well as a research institute in a complex on top of a hill with panoramic views of the city.
Unfortunately Kieran was not his usual energetic self today because he was nursing a slight fever and all of us were also fatigued from the driving trip but a short drive to the Santa Monica Pier and amusement park in the evening helped to lift everyone's spirits. : )
