Madera Grove

Kieran looks forward to going to school every morning and his favorite activity is riding his bike at the playground. After three months at Stanford Madera Grove Children's Center, Kieran has "graduated" to riding the largest bike and is mingling very well with his fellow preschoolers who come from all over the world. He is also able to express himself clearly and loves to read before taking his afternoon nap, says his teachers Ms Jen and Ms Marielle.

I was initially hesitant about placing Kieran in Madera last October due to the steep fees but Hubby D convinced me that it would be good for our little boy to mingle with other kids. Kieran had also enjoyed going to preschool back home and would soon adjust to the new environment. He was right. Kieran has certainly benefited from his experience in the US and is now more fluent in English (previously he was more of a Mandarin speaker). Best of all, he peppers his requests with "please", making it very hard to turn him down!

According to Ms Jen (picture above), Kieran loves cottage cheese and had three helpings today! He also enjoys yoghurt and minestrone soup but still doesn't want to eat vegetables. Sigh.
